Every student receives a 3-month Claude Pro license (~$60 value).

Claude Pro includes:

• Priority access during high-traffic periods
• Access to Claude’s most capable models
• Longer conversations and larger uploads
• Early access to new features

Check your Penn email for the subject line: “CIS 5020: Claude Pro Access”

• Use your Penn email for easy identification

• Follow the instructions in the activation email
• Apply the license code to your account

• Projects let you organize course-related conversations
• Upload course materials for persistent context

Not a shortcut. A thinking partner.

Good uses:

• “Help me explore the super-syllabus topics”
• “Walk me through this proof - where am I getting stuck?”
• “I’m trying to understand X. Ask me questions to expose what I don’t know yet.”

Problematic uses:

• “Do my homework” (you’re here to learn, not outsource)
• Copy-paste without understanding (defeats the purpose)
